Are dogs allowed in high park zoo. In addition your dog can go to the zoo the High Park Zoo has housed primarily hoofed animals such as deer bison and llamas behind chain-linked enclosures for more than 100 years. Because the zoo essentially runs along a pedestrian street leashed pets are welcome. A dog membership allows you to visit the zoo on select Members Only Dog Days Monday and Sunday and on public Dog Days Wednesday and Friday from 100 PM 500 PM.

DOG MEMBERS ONLY DOG DAYS SUNDAY Monday Wednesday Friday. The zoo is open all year long from 7 am till dusk. There are 6 or 7 enclosed areas on either side of Deer Pen road where the animals of the zoo live.

You can find bison deer llamas peacocks highland cattle etc. The zoo dates back to the early 1900s when deer were kept inside High Park. Please do not feed the animals.

For the health and safety of our animals pets of any kind are prohibited in the zoo. Only ADA service animals are welcomed but we do not allow exotic species therapy or emotional-support animals. For guests that have service animals we ask that you notify the admissions window staff so that a tour of some of the areas can be arranged.

Each picninc area is marked with a wooden pole with a number on the top of it and reminders that no BBQs are allowed in the park. Also please note that dogs are supposed to be on a leash everywhere except inside the designated dog park. I have however seen well behaved dogs off leash sitting around the benches and picnic tables and nobody will bother you for that.

It was a cool day no harm was done we were there in December of this year. There are two seasonal concession stands in the Zoo. We also offer a Meal Ticket option.

Are you allowed to bring in outside food. You may bring in packed lunches and coolers. Portable grills are not permitted.

All patrons and bags are subject to be searched. We do not allow pets in the Zoo. We do allow certified service animals.

For the safety of your animal as well as the Zoo residents pets are not permitted in the Zoo. We welcome trained service animals such as dogs and miniature horses needed for people with disorders or disabilities. Can I rent strollers or wheelchairs.

We do have wheelchairs and strollers for rent available at the Discover the Wild Gift Shop. We loved the trails and the zoo was such a lovely and unexpected surprise. The animals were well taken care of there was an interesting selection of them to see and it was FREE.

What a gift to the community. We also loved the trails at this park where dogs are allowed to roam off-leash in designated areas. There is ice cream and hot dogs by the playground during the summer season and there is another vendor near the sports fields.

416-721-2012 High Park Trackless Trains operate daily in the spring summer and fall. The trains are scheduled to start touring the park at 1030 am and usually run till dusk. ZooTampa at Lowry Park is operated by the Lowry Park Zoological Society an independent 501c3 charitable organization committed to excellence in conservation education recreation and research.

The Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums AZA and is featured among the Top 25 Zoos in the US by TripAdvisor. Swimming and ice skating is not allowed in the waters at High Park use the designated pool or the skating rink. Dogs are not allowed to go into the lakes either as they disturb the animals that live there - please respect this when you take your pooch with you.
